FLC will be hosting the Basic Literacy Course and ESOL Course March 13 - April 3

Welcome to our online tutor training course, hosted by the Florida Adult and Family Literacy Resource Center, a program of the Florida Literacy Coalition.

The purpose if this course is to provide an introduction to core aspects of being an effective adult literacy and/or ESOL tutor.

Offered in partnership with your local literacy organization, this course will be facilitated by an experienced instructor, who will make assignments, answer questions and encourage dialog with fellow students. Your facilitator is here to support your learning, so please don’t hesitate to contact this individual with your questions, issues and feedback.

Registration is required to participate.

While the course is largely self-paced, you will be asked to complete your work in 3 weeks and assignments may be made with established due dates.

Please note that this course is limited in scope and is designed to compliment additional information, training and resources that will be provided by the organization where you will be tutoring.

If you have any questions, please call your local literacy organization or contact the Florida Literacy Coalition, 407-246-7110. Are you having any technical issues? Please send your questions to onlinecourseadmin@floridaliteracy.org

Thank you for your interest in teaching. We look forward to your participation.

This Course has been made possible through the generous support of the Florida Department of Education, Division of Career and Adult Education.
